In a twist on typical Honens performances, step back in time and into the intimate world of George Frideric Handel’s Italian cantatas presented in partnership with Early Music Voices. Featuring soprano Maya Kherani alongside Andrea Case on baroque cello, Michel Angers on theorbo and guitar, and Justin Luchinski on harpsichord, On Stage: Solitaria brings together three rarely heard works written between 1707 and 1709 during Handel’s years in Italy.

Enjoy an intimate house concert at the Portola Valley home of Glenn Zhu and Ann Gui. Known for her vibrant voice and expressive range, Kherani performs repertoire spanning Baroque to modern works. Her recent engagements include appearances with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Baroque, and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, among others. This afternoon pairs a private recital with a reception in an elegant Peninsula setting.
